SELL BEG
The Manifesto

SELL
OR
BEG.

People ask about the name all the time. Some find it provocative. Some find it uncomfortable. Some find it offensive.

That is exactly the point.

Why The Name

The reality is uncomfortable.
So is the name.

Because the reality young Nigerians are facing today is provocative, uncomfortable, outright below global standards and if we are being honest, deeply unfair.

You graduate from a university that may have been on strike for a quarter of your academic life. You collect a certificate that the job market increasingly does not care about. You enter an economy with over 40% youth unemployment.

And somewhere in that silence, a decision is being made for you whether you realise it or not.

You are either going to figure out how to create value and sell it. Or you are going to spend your life dependent on systems and people that were never designed with you in mind.

We chose the name because we refuse to be polite about a problem that is destroying a generation. We chose it because the most powerful thing we can do for a young Nigerian is hand them the truth and then hand them the tools to act on it.

Who We Are For

Sell or Beg is for the Nigerian undergraduate
who has decided that waiting is not a plan.

01
The 200-level student who has a skill but does not know how to monetise it.
02
The 300-level student who is freelancing but earning far below what their work is worth.
03
The final year student who is terrified of what comes after school and is looking for a tribe that will help them figure it out.
04
The student who has tried and failed and is looking for people who understand that failure is not the end of the story.
05
The student watching their peers party while they build and sometimes wonder if they are doing the right thing.
06
The student who knows they are capable of more but has not yet found the environment that brings it out.
We are for the builder.
Not the person who talks about it.
The person who starts.
Sell or Beg Is Your Tribe ↗
Who We Are Not For

We say this with respect.

Sell or Beg is not for everyone. This is a tribe of doers.

01
People looking for a shortcut to success without putting in the work.
02
People who want to collect certificates without doing the work that backs them up.
03
People who come to take from the community and never give back to it.
04
People who are not yet ready to be honest about where they are and what they need to change.
The SELL Agenda

Four pillars. One direction.

S
Service
True leadership is not about being bossy. It is leading through service to those around you.
E
Empowerment
A true leader is one who empowers his people to thrive beyond him.
L
Leadership
You have to lead yourself first before you can lead others effectively.
L
Legacy
As a leader, always ask yourself: what legacy am I trying to leave behind?

The Official Mantra

IF YOU DON'T SELL,
YOU WILL BEG.
